Honey J on Reuniting with Rihey in World Street Woman Fighter: “It Felt Like Meeting an Ex”

Appearing on the June 3 episode of Salon Drip 2—titled “Watch Closely, the Unnies Are Arguing! | EP. 93 Honey J, LIP J, Leejung”, Honey J spoke candidly about joining forces with Rihey on their newly formed team BUMSUP.

“It felt like reuniting with an ex,” she admitted. “When it was just the two of us, it was awkward, I even started making small talk just to avoid any silence.” Her honesty struck a chord with fans who remembered the past rumors of friction between the two iconic dancers.
However, the awkwardness didn’t last long. Honey J noted a remarkable change in their dynamic: “I used to create most of the choreography by myself, but now Rihey contributes a lot of ideas too. I can feel how much she’s grown, and it’s really reassuring.” She added warmly, “I’ve been praising her a lot—without holding back.”

Honey J and Rihey previously worked together under the same dance team PURPLOW, which disbanded several years ago. Their dramatic reunion occurred during the first season of Street Woman Fighter, five years after the team had parted ways. At the time, their face-off as rivals shocked viewers and created palpable tension on set—particularly during the infamous “No Respect Battle”, when Rihey pointed directly at Honey J.
The emotional reunion, set against the high-pressure backdrop of World Street Woman Fighter, has become a focal point for fans, signaling not just the return of a powerful dance duo, but also the evolution of mutual respect and artistic synergy.
With BUMSUP now competing among the world’s top crews, viewers are eagerly watching to see how Honey J and Rihey’s renewed partnership will unfold, this time, not as rivals or strangers, but as collaborators with shared history and a stronger bond.
